Jerry Beck
Jerry Beck’s artistic vision was influenced by growing up in South Florida. He was inspired by traveling carnivals, the circus, pinball arcades, theme-parks, and team sports. Beck is chiefly recognized for his adventurous multi-disciplinary public art projects that transforms abandoned urban spaces. His oeuvre of artworks includes drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, sculpture, installation, art-mobiles, photography, video, film, artist-books, poetry, food art, fashion, and performance art. Due to the site-specific nature of his art, he has explored a wide-range of themes including personal and cultural identity, social justice and activism, game theory, and ecological sustainability.
